I love almost everything about nature and one of my biggest fears is the repercussions we will face when nature can no longer tolerate human destruction.
I never tire of reading dystopian-themed tales. Stories about the end of the world absolutely fascinate me. And who knows, some authors’ ideas might serve as survival references in the ever-uncertain future. While I don’t anticipate them in our future, I do find some vampire, angel, and demon stories quite captivating.
Some of my favorite authors and series are (for most of these, the 1st book in the series is free, so you can make sure you like the story before you buy any books!):
-
- The Captive series by Erica Stevens
- The Road to Hell series by Brenda K. Davies
- The Breeders series by Katie French
- The End of Days series by Susan Ee
- The Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa
- The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken
- The Planet Urth series by Jennifer and Christopher Martucci
When I’m not getting lost in a book, I love spending time with my husband and two sons, especially when we are hiking, biking or exploring nature. Our family also includes four cats, each adopted from a rescue group or shelter. Jasmine and May are the girls. Zeus and Sage are the boys. I would love to say that they snuggle up with me when I’m writing, but unfortunately, while my affection for them can barely be contained, they merely tolerate me.
